The move has to be safe
Six years of posts, images and search rankings carry the business today. Every one is accounted for before anything changes, and checked after.
Six years of writing, an audience that trusts you, and a business ready to sell its own products. This is the plan to build the system it deserves.
Home Centered Learning has outgrown the tools it was built on. The audience, the writing and the reputation are already here. What's missing is the system underneath that lets them work together.
Six years of posts, images and search rankings carry the business today. Every one is accounted for before anything changes, and checked after.
The business plan is shifting from mostly affiliate income to your own products: curriculum, a book, and physical goods. The site needs a real store built into the blog, not beside it.
The email list went quiet a year ago when it became too costly and complicated to run. It comes back on a connected system that grows with you instead of charging you for it.
A current snapshot of homecenteredlearning.com: every post, image, link, file and address.
Posts per year. About 30 a year since 2022, and still going.
* January through September 2026
Posts per subject from your existing tags. A post can count toward more than one.
72 posts have no grade level. Nothing is tagged High School. Both are open ground for new content and products.
Readers who click land on an error page. Most were freebie pages, so every one is an email signup lost today.
Including the Year at a Glance spreadsheet and the Home Interview Questions PDF.
All 3,381 disappear when the subscription ends unless each one is moved and re-linked.
The Drive links expire. The rest stop working with Squarespace.
Google keeps only 16 months. If it isn't saved before the move, there's no record of what was working and nothing to protect it against.
58 tag and category pages with duplicates like “4th Grade” and “Fourth Grade,” and no single place to see one stage's posts.
A reader finishes a post and leaves. Nothing offers the right product or a free download for their child's stage.
And it often misses posts, so finding your own work to share is harder than it should be.
42 post descriptions run longer than Google displays, and 12 are too short to say much.
Pages like /new-page and /sidebar are live and listed for Google.
Squarespace doesn't hand this over cleanly. Its export leaves out images, products and drafts, and there's no importer on the other side. Every line below is moved on purpose and checked against the original.
Readers only see the top layer. The five underneath are what turn a blog into a business that runs while you're teaching. Select a layer to open it.
How the layers work together, from a Google search to a returning customer, with no one touching anything by hand.
Lands on the same post, at the same address, that's ranked for years.
Filed under her child's stage and subject.
Your curriculum for that stage, then your picks, then a free download.
Card or bank, on a secure page, then straight back to your site.
Delivered the moment she pays.
Tips, a review request, then the next stage.
Same audience, same writing. The machinery underneath it finally in place.
Capture your Google history, archive the full site, and flag the pages quietly doing the most work so they're protected first.
Home, blog, post, shop and product pages built around your own photography, approved by you before anything is built.
Blog moved, store built, payments and CRM connected, every address mapped, all of it tested with real test orders.
Every post compared against the original. Then we go live and run one real purchase end to end.
Subscribers brought over and re-introduced gently, with a free resource, a welcome series and the automations running.
Search performance tracked against your baseline, plus access and training on how to use every part of what we've built.
You own every account. We don't resell software.
